Each year Redlands Christian's administration and staff choose a theme for the upcoming school year. Our theme this year is based on Ephesians 6:7, "Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men..." We will be weaving this theme into our chapels, classroom displays, signs around campus, class work, Bible classes and other activities. During the 2007-2008 school year, we pledged to increase our level of service to the community and those around us. We will continue to do so this year. We established a Service Ministry under the name of S.U.R.F. - "Serving with Understanding, Respect and Faith." Take a few devotional times and read through Ephesians 6:7. Discuss with your family how you can also serve others through your home and family activities.

If you look in your concordance you will find many passages about service. One that especially stands out is Ephesians 4:11-13. We can serve wherever God has planted us and with whatever gifts He has blessed us with, whether we are young or old, at home or away.
