Several weeks ago (February 24-28) Redlands Christian School set time aside for a special emphasis on prayer.

What is prayer? Why pray? How should we pray?

Students in the elementary classes held 3 special chapels led by Andy Simpson and Mary Naman in which they sang and learned about the power of prayer. They made prayer chains showing prayer requests and answers to prayer. The Middle School students also had 3 special chapels led by Dr. Craig Turley. The week was capped off with the Middle School students working in the Redlands Community in a variety of ways. Some picked oranges to be sent to a Mexican orphanage, some organized items at Joseph's Storehouse, some helped out at Redlands Family Services, some raked leaves at area parks or painted softball backstops, some cleaned up garbage from the school's neighborhood, etc. It was a good week as staff and students worshiped, prayed, and worked together.
