Mass Production

Now companies were making much more because of the assembly line. They were producing more and with that money they were buying more raw materials to make even more products. This caused an increase in transportation. Railroads and steamboats popped up around the country.  The telegraph and telephone let the investors talk with other industries faster. New inventions for machines needed less and less skilled workers to operate them. These jobs paid small and the workers left bringing in more unskilled workers making a call for those unskilled workers.
