Friendship Games 2007
Mr. DeJong put together 20 Sweet Treat Teams of 19 students each and declared,
“Let the Games Begin”.
The competition was intense. The 1st – 6th grade students gave it their all.
The encouragement from the 7th grade team captains ignited the candy bar groups. Students ran and pulled and shot and lifted and passed. They shouted with joy at the successes and groaned at times with distress. Students coordinated their activities and planned for victory.
The Milky Ways were smooth and creamy…but came in 2nd. It was the Butterfingers that stole the prize. When the day came to a close, Mr. DeJong delared it a complete success!
