RCS Students Shine at the Heritage Festival

The Concert Band and Jubilation had a successful trip to Anaheim this past weekend for the Heritage Festival. Both groups were able to perform in beautiful halls and get adjudicated by quality college directors. It was an experience that the students will not forget for a long time (if ever)!

The band received a silver, and the choir received a gold. Both groups worked hard and gave excellent performances. Redlands Christian School also received the “Spirit Award,” which was only given to one school. This was an honor that all the students should be very proud of. The award was given to the school that “best represented their school and state at the festival.” Our students did an outstanding job of showing respect on and off the stage, which is evident by this award that they were selected for.
Once all of the “serious stuff” was done, we then went to Disneyland to enjoy an afternoon and evening of free time. While many of the rides may have been the highlight of the trip, arriving home at 12:30 a.m. was not!
Thanks again, parents, for supporting your students in the music program; the hard work and commitment pays off!!
