The first grade classes have been learning all about trees in science. So on Friday, October 5, they went on a field trip to Snow Line Apple Orchard in Oak Glen. They enjoyed a tour that included taking turns working an old apple cider press. They saw an apple sorter that grouped apples by size. They even felt how cold the walk-in refrigerator was where the apples are stored. The ended their morning with a picnic lunch and a taste of some yummy apple cider. What a fun time they had!
