Team Learning 4 Life had their official LAUNCH PARTY Sunday, February 24, at Redlands Christian School. The evening began in the Special Education room and dinner was served in the gym. It was truly exciting to see so many people come to support our team and learn more about what the guys are going to do come June 11. Ray Leenstra began the evening by giving some background history on how Special Education came to be at RCS. Doug Richards followed with some great stories of how the idea of racing across America to raise funds for this program began. Doug then introduced the rest of the team which includes Bob Roach, Robbie Roach, Dave Roadruck, Carl Gregory, Rick Nichols, Mickey Ask, and Martin Eaton. He also introduced the team’s alternates which are Mike Goldstien, Paul Rice and John Reid. Included in the introductions was Jim Baden, training coach and owner of Cycle Tek Bike Pro Shop. One of the announcements of the evening was our goal to raise $150,000.00; stories were shared of how God is already moving in the hearts of people to provide. |

The kids were great helpers as well. We had students from RCS and ACA pitching in to set up decorations, serve food, clean up and help with raffles. How exciting to see kids and adults in their new team promotional shirts (available for sale @ $10.00 each) and gathering as a whole group. As the days grow nearer to the race, there is much to be done and much to trust the Lord for! We are all excited to see how people choose to join this great cause. We serve a great God who cares deeply for ALL our children and it is a privilege to serve Him in this way |
