SWAT at RCS

Say What?

SWAT stands for Student Worship Attendance Team. This is a group of Redlands Christian Middle School Students who with the leadership of Mr. Camping and Mr. In't Hout plan and lead the Middle School Chapel Program. Sometimes they bring in special speakers, sometimes chapel is a time of prayer and praise. Barna-dude and Barna-babe awards are presented to students who stand out in their leadership and kindness here at RCS.

In preparation for the February 6 chapel, the SWAT members actually wrote and performed their own skit entitled"The Builder and the Trees".

Each Wednesday morning, students in grades 6 through 8 gather together in chapel or in small groups.

Each small group is led by an adult advisor and includes 7 or 8 students. Starting in January the small groups are looking through the Ten Commandments and investigating how they could or should effect how we live. It's a time of prayer, sharing, discussion and fun! You can almost tell when it's a Small Group Wednesday because of all the donuts that arrive on campus. Some of the small groups have participated in service type activities as well as sports and crafts. It's a great time to encourage each other and challenge each other to make a difference in our world.
