8th Graders on the "Ropes"
Last fall the 8th graders ventured up the mountains to the Alpine Camp and Conference Center “Higher Ground” Ropes Course.  The students were challenged with team building games and activities throughout the morning, and then were treated to a delicious lunch.  In the afternoon, everyone got harnessed up in preparation for the high ropes portion of the day.  Many 8th graders enjoyed the thrill of climbing and balancing on “The Narrow Way”.  Others showed determination in climbing the 80 foot “Tree of Life”.  And a few students had the opportunity to conquer the 100 foot “Centurion”…even if the harnessed were tied a bit too tight!!!  All in all, it was a wonderful experience for the 8th graders to work on building teamwork, confidence, and trust with their classmates.
