Pray and Serve |
| The Middle School Students gathered around the Flag Pole in front of Redlands Christian School on a warm Wednesday morning to join with other students across our world to pray—for their school, friends, teachers, government, and their nation. "See You at the Pole" is a student-initiated, student organized, and student-led event. After a time of prayer the students were treated to juice and muffins. |

Then the students walked to the Theatre for chapel. Nick In't Hout challenged the students to pray and to serve...to be humble and gracious...to wash each others' feet. The 8 members of SWAT (Student Worship Apprentice Team) modeled service by washing the 300 feet of their peers. Hylke Hylkema led with music and song. Middle School Staff Members prayed with each student individually. "Thank you Lord for the gifts you have given this students. Help him/her to be an encourager to others. Mold him/her into the young adult that You desire." A student's question, "Who will wash the feet of the SWAT members?" Several students volunteered. Use us...today...and tomorrow....to be Your servants. |
