The Fifth Grade Second Annual State Fair
The Fair was a huge success and good eaten too! For the last month and half each student has been learning about one state of our great nation. It all started back in January when they wrote a business letter to their state visitors center to receive information about their state. The mail started to trickle in and then we started to gather information from the World Book Encyclopedia and the Internet. Each student put together a state report that included history, economy, geography, weather and much more. The State Fair culminated the project. The students beautifully and creatively displayed pertinent information about their state on their boards. They also chose some kind of food to share with visitors that represented their state.
It was a lot of fun and they did a fabulous job. Well-done Fifth Graders!
