The middle school girls basketball team recently finished a fantastic season. With a final record of 8-6, the girls finished in 4th place in the league. The girls continued to improve all season long. By season's end they proved they could play right with the best teams in the league. Losing to first-place Loma Linda Academy by 24 points the first time around, the girls took Loma Linda down to the last minute in their second match-up. In the season finale, the girls played host to Arrowhead Christian Academy who had beaten the Cougars by 10 the first time. The winner of this game would finish 3rd in the league and advance to the playoffs. The game went back and forth, and unfortunately for RCS, it ended with ACA on top 39-38.
Highlights of the season included wins over Ontario Christian, Upland Christian, Calvary Chapel, and Peace in the Valley. At Upland Christian, the girls battled back from a 10-0 defecit to win by 4 points. Later in the season, the girls beat Upland again in highly competitive contest.
