RCS Coed Middle School Soccer

RECAP by Matt Wiers

The Coed MiddleSchool SoccerTeam recently finished off another exciting season. The Cougars finished with a 5-5-1 record overall and a 4-4-1 record in the tough Mountain Valley League. The RCS squad had a chance to win nearly every game, losing only once by more than two goals. After some heartbreaking losses, the team bounced back to finish the year with 3 straight wins.

The Cougars were led by T.J. Lucia, who finished the campaign with 11 goals and 4 assists. Zac Martinez finished with 4 assists as well, with many those usually coming on beautiful corner kicks that found T.J.’s head before going in the net. Jordan Cross chipped in with 5 goals on the season, followed closely by Robby Roach’s 4. The defense was anchored by the tenacious play of Bryan Stifle, who did his best to protect goalkeeper Daniel Cooper. Thanks to all the players for all of their hard work, great job!
